Cousins, Cousins, Cousins!

On Friday night, we had a HOUSE FULL OF COUSINS! Cameron, Dawson, Ian, Carson, and Ella enjoyed some quality "cousin" time together! The boys enjoyed playing outside together while Ella enjoyed some "alone" time in her swing! :) What on earth will she ever do to survive life with all of these boys?

Roo is Seven Months Old!

Roo does the craziest things with her little lips!

I am way late on this post!!!! On the 17th of September, Ella turned seven months old! I can't believe how fast time is flying by. This last month has been full of GREAT ACCOMPLISHMENTS for Roo. She learned to sit up on her own. She loves to sit and play with her toys. Her eye-hand coordination is fabulous! I love to watch her move objects in her hand while looking at them intently. Ella also has taken a great liking to her bath. We now put her little tub in the BIG tub! She loves to play with toys in the water. I think she has taken after her BIG BROTHER in this area! :) Ella is also rolling all over the place very QUICKLY! She will make it across the room in no time at all! She is trying to crawl, but becomes very frustrated. She scoots backward instead of forward.

Ella had her "official" six month checkup just a couple of weeks ago. She weighed in at a BIG 14 pounds! I can't believe how small she is in comparison to what Carson was. Unfortunately Ella has her first "cold" that has required her to begin her first round of antibiotics!! :( I am so thankful that she has lasted this long drug-free. Carson was soooo sick so early on. Maybe the Mommy Milk has worked in this area!

We are so thankful for all of the joy Ella has brought into our lives! She is perfect! :)

Let the Birthday Parties Begin...

On Saturday, we had our first official birthday party of the new school year! It was Seth's 5th birthday! It was Ella's first trip to a zoo! She seemed to enjoy it, but by the end she was worn out! This is only the beginning... MANY MORE PARTIES TO COME! :)

Friday Fun!

For the past two Fridays, Carson has invited Vance over for a "playdate". They had a blast playing with Ella and driving the race car! I think Ella enjoyed the "playdate" as well! :)

Walk with Dinosaurs

For months Carson has been on an emotional roller coaster about the upcoming "dinosaur show". When he first heard of the show, he was elated!! We had to watch the 30 second promotional clip on the internet many many times! As time drew closer Carson's anxiety level rose. He even got up in the middle of the night and begged me to "sell" the tickets! He was too afraid to go. He was convinced the dinosaurs would "get him". He would pray to God at night to please protect him from the dinosaurs. The actual day of the show provided excitement. He wanted to make sure he had a good nap at school, so he wouldn't be tired during the show. Fear overcame Car as soon as we sat down in our seats. He began crying, holding on to his daddy, and BEGGING to go home. Well we made it very clear that we DID NOT spend that amount of money to miss the show. After about twenty minutes of seeing that the dinosaurs were NOT going to come in the audience to "get him", he relaxed and enjoyed the show!

Our Little Talker

Car sure did think this conversation was funny! Her first "word" is definitely mamamama! :)

(Sorry it is turned the wrong way!)

Happy Birthday Grammy!!!! :)

Today we celebrated Grammy's birthday! We all went out to eat at a place of Grammy's choice. We had a pretty adventurous drive on the way! I was trying to feed Ella her bottle when all of a sudden she sat her head up and spit out the entire bottle of milk! (Yes, on her pretty dress and all in the car seat) Of course, the unprepared Mommy that I am didn't have a change of clothes with me. As Brian was driving down the interstate, I had to take her out of her car seat and get her cleaned up. Ella was all cleaned up within no time and back in her car seat. Dinner was wonderful! I am glad nothing adventurous happened in the restaurant! HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRAMMY!!! :)

Ella's a BIG Girl Now! :)

On Saturday Ella Roo sat up all by herself and played for the VERY FIRST time! :) This is so exciting, yet very sad for me at the same time! Our "baby" time is going by way too quickly. Carson really enjoys sitting in the floor and playing with his BABY SISTER! :)

Ella Finally Meets Her Uncle Charlie!

Last Saturday we met Aunt Karen, Uncle Charlie, Cousin Ian, and Cousin Charlie for lunch so Ella could finally meet her uncle. We had a wonderful visit even though it was short.

Better Late Than Never...

On Sunday, before the children's first official day of school, Carson had the opportunity to go see the Braves again!! Carson, Grammy, Aunt Lizzie, Daddy, Sarita, and Phil journeyed to Atlanta to watch a Sunday afternoon game! The seats and the weather were wonderful! The best part of the game was that Carson had the opportunity to see his favorite player, John Smoltz, pitch for the first time! Times sure have changed! Carson actually sat and watched the entire game! He didn't even want to get up and go shop with Grammy and Aunt Lizzie! He just placed his order. I vividly remember the games when we were only able to sit for a couple of innings before he was ready to "go home". Everyone had a blast! Ella will make her debut at a Braves game very soon! :)

Thursday Thirteen #7

Thirteen Things I LOVE About My Precious Children

1. the way Ella holds her sweet little hands together when she is sleeping in her swing

2. the way Ella covers her little eyes when she is sleeping

3. seeing Carson set up and run through his self-created obstacle courses

4. seeing the interest Car has developed for game shows on Nick GAS (and his favorite being an old favorite of mine - - DOUBLE DARE 2000!)

5. watching Carson rock Ella for twenty minutes or so without her budging a bit except to just look at her BIG BROTHER

6. the way Roo lights up when her BIG BROTHER is around

7. watching Carson play baseball 23.5 hours per day and watching his skills improve daily

8. seeing the love Carson has for books and for being read to

9. watching Ella pick up objects and manipulating them with her hands

10. hearing Carson say his prayers and asking about Jesus

11. hearing the "funny" things that come out of Car's mouth

12. being able to cuddle with both of them at night

13. hearing Car talk about his "girlfriend" and asking if his girlfriend uses the potty before she goes to bed, and if so then he will too! :) Maybe I should try telling him that Katie cleans her room, goes to bed without a fuss, gets up in the morning without a battle...
