We went to bed Sunday night with the talk and excitement that comes along with the thought of snow... the possibility of a lot of SNOW! We awoke Monday morning to find about five inches of snow on the ground. We bundled up and headed outside. The snow was beautiful and deep. It was not the kind to build snowmen with, but it made for great snow cream. Carson wanted to play for just a few minutes, and then he was ready to go back inside. Ella and I trudged through the snow for awhile longer. When the snow storm was all said and done, we had a little over seven inches of snow on our porch. Later on during the day, it began to sleet. On Tuesday, the soft fresh snow had a hard icy covering blanketing it. The kids did like throwing the ice and having it break in the neighbor's yard. We spent all day Wednesday inside, and finally decided to venture out for haircuts on Thursday. Thanks to this white blessing, we had NO school for the entire week!
