Carson and Ella participated in their FIRST run! It didn't quite go as planned. To begin with it started over 30 minutes late. Then Carson, who is used to running full speed ahead in the sports he plays, tries to use that same tactic with this race and gets a cramp half way through the first lap around the track. Because of the cramp, he had to walk more than he would have liked to. Ella began crying halfway around the track, so I had to pick her up and run with her. Drew finished in first place, and Carson finished in second place for their age group. Prizes for all runners were adverised, but Drew ended up getting the only prize. This caused even more frustation for Car! I don't think I will be able to convince them to do this again next year!
