This summer we visited our first children's interactive museum when we traveled to Columbia for the day. Carson feel in love instantly! Being that he wanted to move our house to Columbia, I was super excited when I heard about the new museum that was opening only fifteen minutes from our house! Carson looked almost daily at the website for our new interactive museum. He even started counting down the days until the grand opening. Brian was off today, so we all ventured out early this morning to try to beat the crowd. When we arrived, they were about to begin a press conference. In attendance were Richard Riley, David Wilkins, and the mayor of Gville. Carson and Ella both waited so patiently for the ribbon to be cut and for the doors to fly open. Carson was one of the first people to run through the doors. Inside, we were greeted with many photographers and videographers. Carson and Ella were filmed and photographed in several of the exhibits. We were AMAZED at this new museum! Carson's favorite exhibits were the racing exhibit and the space craft exhibit. Ella's favorites were the water exhibit , the teddy bear hospital, and the grocery store. After eating lunch, we visited our favorites one last time before journeying home. Ella was so pooped she napped in the car... which is something she normally does not do any more!!! I am already looking forward to our next visit! After being there for several hours, there is still more for us to explore!
